Our Research

The Work Foundation’s independent research focuses on innovation and economic change, the role of cities, labour market disadvantage, health and wellbeing at work and how organisational change can promote Good Work.

We work closely with the organisations in partnership with The Work Foundation and others to deliver high quality and relevant research including secondments, funding and active engagement in our cutting-edge research programmes and projects.

Our key aim is to improve the quality of public policy interventions and organisational practice and understanding and extend our influence on the public policy debate through the media and a wide range of exclusive and public events.

Socio-Economic

The socio-economic programmes provide an in-depth analysis of cities, labour markets, the knowledge economy and enterprise. Through our research and bespoke consultancy we deliver evidence-based analysis, commentary and advice.

Innovation

We undertake evidence-based research on innovation, which focuses on three programmes tackling the big problems facing Good Work and the economy in the 21st century.

Workforce Effectiveness

The Centre for Workforce Effectiveness is committed to conducting applied research that helps employers and policy makers deliver and benefit from more Good Work – work that is fulfilling, healthy and productive.
